Chloe Hamza, Ph.D.

Dr. Chloe Hamza is an Assistant Professor at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. Her research program is broadly focused on the development of mental health and well-being among students in a variety of educational contexts (e.g., schools, colleges, universities). She has expertise specifically in the area of self-injurious behavior (e.g., nonsuicidal self-injury, suicidal behavior), and is interested in identifying risk and protective factors for self-injury among students, as well developing best-practice recommendations to assist schools in supporting students who self-injure in educational contexts.
